PASSPORT & VISAS

Please check the date on your passport to make sure it is valid. Many countries require that your passport be valid for at least six months beyond the conclusion of your trip. It is also recommended that you have a minimum of three blank passport pages. Each country has different visa requirements and you are responsible for making sure that you have the appropriate visa. We can recommend a US-based visa processing service if you would like assistance.

TRavel Ability

Tour participants need to be physically fit and in good health to attend our trips as we do a lot of walking and we use often use public transportation. We also travel to places and stay in accommodation where there are stairs and we cannot guarantee elevator service. We expect our tour participants to have reasonable expectations of travel and comfort in Asia. 

HEALTH & Safety

Twofold is not responsible for the health and safety of tour participants and we strongly advise that you purchase medical travel insurance. Please also consult your local doctor or travel medical clinic regarding recommended vaccinations.

In the event of illness or accident, Twofold will make every effort to get in touch with your designated emergency contact, however, we require you to give permission for any necessary emergency medical treatment (for which you will be responsible to pay). You understand that Twofold will make every effort to minimize safety or health risks, but that Twofold cannot guarantee against circumstances over which it has little or no control.

Twofold is also not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged luggage or property. Please make sure you have necessary insurance. 

PAYMENTS

You may pay by check, bank transfer, credit card or Paypal. Any credit card or PayPal fees will be added your payment. A deposit of approximately one third of the cost of the trip is due upon enrollment and the final payment will be due three months from trip departure date. Please contact us if you need to arrange a customized payment schedule.

CANCELLATION POLICY

By participant: Due to the complex nature of our trip coordination we cannot provide refunds, however, if you need to cancel more than four months before the start of the trip we will do our best to find a replacement for you. We strongly advise that you purchase travel insurance in case a last-minute emergency causes you to cancel.

By Twofold: Twofold reserves the right to cancel an itinerary before departure for any reason including too few participants or logistical problems such as strikes, military actions, acts of nature or any other circumstances which may make operation of the trip inadvisable. If we cancel a tour you have reserved, the entire amount you have paid to Twofold will be refunded.

THIRD-PARTY VENDORS

Some of the services associated with our tours including lodging, transport, local tours, and food service are provided by independent suppliers. These third-party contractors are carefully vetted, however Twofold cannot be held responsible for the acts and omissions of these third parties.

In SUMMARY

All trip participants must read the itinerary and pre-departure information provided so as to have realistic expectations of the tour. Additionally, participants must read the FAQs and Disclaimers and sign a risk/release waiver, which will be emailed to you. We hope you will enjoy your tour and we will do everything we can to ensure a pleasurable trip. You are responsible for arranging visas as necessary; for obtaining the appropriate medical and cancellation insurance; for obtaining vaccinations as recommended by your doctor or travel medical clinic; for reading all of the pre-departure information provided you; for being in sufficiently good health and choosing a trip appropriate for your physical abilities, and for acting in a manner considerate of fellow travelers and as a visitor in foreign country.
